What this site is
Grow a Garden Calculator is a free set of calculators and reference tables for the Roblox game Grow a Garden. It exists because the in-game interface never tells you what a harvest is actually worth — you can see a crop's weight and its mutations, but the Sheckle value those combine into is hidden until you sell.
The site currently covers 40 crops, 25 pets and 45 mutations. There is no account, no paywall and no download. Every tool runs in your browser.
How the value formula works
Crop value in Grow a Garden is multiplicative, not additive. The calculator models it as a base value scaled by weight, then multiplied by each modifier in turn:
value = base x (weight / baseWeight)² x growthTier x (1 + mutationBonus) x friendBonus
The weight term is squared, which is the part most players get wrong and the reason a crop at double the reference weight is worth roughly four times as much rather than twice. Mutations stack as a summed bonus applied once, so two mutations worth +19 and +99 give +118 rather than being multiplied against each other. The full guide works through this with real numbers.
Where the data comes from
Grow a Garden does not publish an official value list or an API. Every number on this site is therefore a community-sourced estimate, assembled from in-game sell testing across a range of weights and mutation combinations, cross-checked against values reported by active trading communities, and reconciled with patch notes when the developers adjust economy numbers.
Where sources disagree, the figure that reproduces most consistently in direct sell tests is used. Data is reviewed after each major game update; the current data set was last revised on .
Limits you should know about
- These are estimates, not guarantees. Expect small variance against what you actually see in game, and larger gaps immediately after a patch.
- Trade fairness is a value comparison only. It cannot price scarcity, event exclusivity or how much someone personally wants an item.
- If a value looks clearly wrong, please report it. Corrections from players are the main way this data stays accurate.
