Your harvested crop's actual weight is divided by the base weight and squared. The growth multiplier (Default, Silver ×5, Gold ×20, Rainbow ×50) scales everything. 2. Why weight matters most
Because the weight ratio is squared, weight is the single most powerful lever you control. A crop at 2× its base weight is worth 4× as much; at 3× it's 9×; at 5× it's a massive 25× — all before mutations. This is why experienced players hoard the heaviest versions of a crop and feed growth-boosting gear like Master Sprinklers. When comparing two harvests, always check weight first.
3. Stacking mutations
Growth mutations (Silver, Gold, Rainbow) are mutually exclusive — a crop can only have one. Environmental mutations are different: they stack additively using 1 + sum of multipliers − number of mutations. For example, a crop with Shocked (×100) and Celestial (×120) gives 1 + 100 + 120 − 2 = 219× for that bracket. Layer a Rainbow growth on top and you multiply that 219 by another 50. Chasing high-multiplier mutations — Goldsparkle (×500) from the limited Goldfinch pet, Astral (×365), Stormbound (×270), or the farmable Harmonised Foxfire (×190) and Dawnbound (×150) — during the right events is how top players hit billions of Sheckles. One caveat: because the bracket subtracts the mutation count, fusing several mutations into a single higher-tier one is not always an upgrade. Keeping Eclipsed, Voidtouched, Celestial and Aurora stacked separately can beat fusing them into Cosmic (×240), so price both options first.
4. Pet weight mechanics
A pet's weight grows as you keep it fed, following Base Weight + (Hunger ÷ Max Hunger) × (Max Weight − Base Weight). Heavier pets have stronger, more frequent abilities, so keeping your best pets well-fed directly increases how often mutations like Foxfire, Disco or Pollinated land on your crops.
